So What’s Next? Feedback to Action!

We’ve heard your feedback, your ideas and your requests - and we are actively spinning up workstreams to action them! Here’s a sneak peak of what’s on our radar:

New Features for App Developers:

We showcased a few new concepts and demonstrated how we can enhance the experience on Splunkbase to better recognize the contributions of Splunk app developers. Our primary focus is on three key areas:

• Enhanced Developer Profile Pages: We aim to provide app developers with much-improved profile pages that highlight their published apps, personal profiles, user interactions, and any certifications or badges they have earned.
• Comprehensive Feedback and Commenting System: We want to implement a robust feedback and commenting system for each app, creating a channel for communication between app developers and users.
• Developer Spotlights on Splunkbase Home Page: We plan to feature developers more prominently on our Splunkbase home page, shifting the focus from just the apps to the talented individuals behind them.

Training and Content for App Developers:

Over the remainder of the year and beyond, we are planning to roll out new content for developers including Tech Talks, Blogs, dedicated Office Hours and new Courses! Here’s some webinars and courses to get started on your developer learning journeys:

Building a Comprehensive Developer Program:

We are building a cross-functional team to support the needs of our app developers in both customer and Splunk partner organizations. Aligning with the Partnerverse program, we intend to launch a comprehensive Splunk Developer Program in BETA to nurture and recognize any and all developers who wish to innovate with Splunk.
