JD is an AI Product Manager at Splunk, where he leads Splunk MCP, splunkctl (CLI), and Splunk Agent Skills. Together they make up the layer that lets any AI agent use Splunk without a human picking a protocol or leaving the tool they're already in. He previously worked on Splunk's AI Security Assistant, and before that helped Texas A&M launch an LLM-based teaching assistant so every student could be heard. He's currently fixated on making LLMs punch above their weight without expensive re-training or mountains of labeled data. Outside work, you'll find him on a trail.
